The scores were :— Eden A, 294 and 57 for six wickets (Heighway 20). Grafton, 162 (M'Cor mick 48, Martin 32). North Shore beat Eden B by one run on the first innings. The scores were : — North Shore, 144 (Howie 46, Ranldn, not out, 28) ; Eden, 143 and 87. >Ponsonby defeated Parnell by 128 runs on the first " innings. The scores were : — Ponsonby, 350 for eight wickets (Sneddon 113, Worker, not out, 89, Robinson 46) ; Pamell, 222. University beat Waitemata, by 72 runs on the first innings. The scores were :—University, 172 (Taylor, not out, 73, Mulgan 31) j Waitemata, 100 and 129 (Toung, not out, 32). .CHRISTCHURCH, Ist November. West Chris,tchurch, 284, v. Hayes, not out, 80), v. East Christchurch, 165. DUNEDIN, Ist November. Splendid weather prevailed for tha opening of the cricket matches yesterday. J. N. Crawford's Colts beat Ca-ris-brook Aby 189 to 106. For the former Chadwick made 64, and for the latter Hay compiled 50. Crawford took six wickets for 31 runs. Opoho met St Kilda, and made 73 and 46 for six wickets (innings declared closed). St. Kilda made 26 and 32 for six wickets. For Opoho Eckhoff took six wickets for 13 and two for 12. and Casey four for 10 and four for 8. For St. Kilda Livingstone took six for 36. i Dunedin beat Albion by 172 to 115. For the latter Baker made 34. Carisbrook B, 172 (Ramsden 56, Watson 45), drew with Orangis, 128 for eight wickets (Graham 39, not out).
