as contraband has eased the situation. The shipment of' several hundred thousand dollars' worth to Germany through Italian ports has already been negotiated. Heavy consignments of foodstuffs have been sent to Germany via Italy. ISSUE OF TREASURY BILLS. LONDON, 30th October. Tenders will be invited on 4th Novemper for fifteen million six-months' British Treasury Bills.
