PROPHECIES OF A MONOMANIAC. RELIGION AND DE WET. t CAPETOWN, 30th October. It is stated that the late General Delarey attached great importance to the prophecies of one yon Rensburgh, a religious monomaniac in the Richtenburg district, including a prediction that Generals Beyers and De Wet would be instrumental in the restoration of the old Republic j also that Beyers' men would be invisible in battle. Captured rebels admit that they were influenced by yon Rensburg's prophecies. His friends believe that De Web ie suffering from religious mania.
