A GERMAN " POEM." ENGLISHMEN "WERE SLOW TO BELIEVE. (TIMES AND BYCNKT SUB BKftTICM.) (Received October 31, 8.30 a.m.) LONDON. 30th October. The newspaper Jug6nd, of Munich, publishes ft poem dealing with the German hatred of tho British. The poem concludes : •— We love as oht?, we hate as one, We Imvc one foe, and One alone, England. The Times, in a loader, says : "Tho war has fanned the hatred white hot. It had been secretly glowing for years, and was ready to burst into flame. Englishmen were slow to believe this, being deceived by personal friendliness for individual Germans."
