The Parcel Mail per Main Trunk Express do3es at the C.P.O. at. 10.30 a.m., and for the South per Ferry Steamer at 8 p.m. As the last clearance Of the City receivers is made at 6 p.m. on Saturdays, all correspondence for the Sunday night Auckland express must be posted at the Chief Post Office not later than 8 p.m, on Sunday. The public are earnestly requested to register all letters containing money or valuables intended to be sent by post. Parcels for despatch by steamers and trains, with the exception of the usual Ferry steamers for Southern Offices, close at the Chief Post Office, Wellington, one hour before the advertised times of closing of mails. All books and sample packets and newspapers for places within the Dominion must be posted half an hour before the ordinary letter mail closes. Onless otherwise specified, registered letters and parcels post packages must be handed in and money orders obtained" one hour before the ordinary mail closes.
