LATE SHIPPING.
? ROTORTJA DUE TO-MORROW. Tho Auckland portion of the R.M.S. Rotorua's Home cargo was evidently landed expetlitioualy, as the vessel sailed from the northern port yesterday afternoon for Wellington. She is due here to-morrow afternoon, and after landing the local portion uill proceed to Lyttelton, towards the end of the week to complete discharge. COMING VIA PANAMA. It transpires that the Purley, which 1b cohing to New Zealand on behalf of the A. and A. Line, is making the trip via the Panama Canal. This will be the first vessel to como to New Zealand by this route. Another vessel announced to be coining via Panama 1b the Cape Corso. The vessels will) make Auckland the first port of call, and then come on to Wellington. PORT MACQOARIE AT MELBOURNE. ' En route from J^ndon to Wellington, via Australian ports and Auckland, the C. and D. Line's chartered steamer Port Macquarie arrived a,t Melbourne yesterday, having occupied 45 days on the 1 voyage. She is due here towards the end of next month. TAVIUNI FOR AUCKLAND. As the Taviuni has been requisitioned for the Islands trade, her cargo for Ficton and -the West Coast is being landed at Wellington. The vessel sails to-day for Auckland. CAPE ORTEGAL COMING TO LOAD. The first vessel to load in New Zealand for Home this season on behalf of Messrs. O. H. Scales, Ltd., will be the Cape Ortcgal, 4898 tons. The vessel is at present discharging cargo from the Pacific Coast in Australia. BERTHING LIST. Vessels to arrive have been allotted berths as under :— Rotorua—Nb. 1 south, Queen's Wharf Mapourika — No. 2 south, Queen's Wharf Wahine— No. 4 south, Queen's Wharf Pateena— No. 12 south, Queen's Wharf Waitomo— Jervols-quay Wharf The Government steamer Hinemoa is to make a visit to' Karori Rock to-morrow morning. With transhipments ex the Star of Victoria, the Waitoroo is to leave Napier late to-night for Wellington, being due here to-morrow evening. The local executivo of the New Zealand Moderate League advertises a meeting to be held at tho Lyceum Hall, Lower Hutt, on Thursday evening, when a branch of the league is proposed to be formed in the Hutt district. The complimentary concert to be tendered to Mr. Stanley Ranlrin, in tho Concert Chamber of the Town Hall, to-morrow evening, promises to bo very entertaining. The programme is varied and interesting.
