All good sorte were in strong demand. Though American and Japanese representatives were, present, practically all the purchases were made by Yorkshire buyers on account of 'the chief demand being for crossbreds, which ruled at fifteen to twenty per centum above last year's opening rates; that for merino, best, classes, showed a fall, of five; secondaries, fifteen; and inferiors twenty-five to thirty-three pet centum. LONDON WOOL MARKET. Dalgety and Company, Ltd.,, Wellington, have received the following cable from their London office, under date 23rd October s— "The wool market ie animated ; 64's Bradford tops are quoted at 31dj 40's at 18£ d. Values are largely fictitious."
