A Petrograd correspondent describes the present German operations as the strategy of despair, which is without parallel in the history of warfare. <PR*SS ASSOCUTIOS.) GERMAN ARMY LOSSES MEN ORDERED TO THE COLOURS. NO MATTER WHAT THEIR AGE. (Received October 14, 8.30 a.m.) PETROGRAD, 13th October. Semi-official. — Owing to the great losses the German Army has sustained, all dfficens and non-coms, who have ever been in the army have been ordered to rejoin the colours, whatever their age. Generals •in retirement may obtain commissions in the Landsturm and the La.ndwehr. A corps of teachers of primary schools is also going on active service.
