BY A FARMERS’ UNION OFFICIAL. (ST TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) MARTON, This Day. At Marton Court this morning, before a Justice of the Peace. C. R. Cooke, late secretary of the Marton Farmers’ Union, was charged with failing to account : for the following moneys Due to the Wellington Meat Export Co., £65 7s lid; to the Wanganui Meat Co,, £lll 6s 3d; Gear Meat Preserving Co., £l6 16s 8d; R. Edwards, Palmerston North, £44 3s; making a total deficiency, less credit at the bank, of £228 3s 2d. Accused pleaded guilty, and was committed to the Supreme Court at Wellington for. sentence.
