INCREASED REVENUE. The revenue of the City Electric Department last month exceeded that for September < last year by £259, while tho working expenses only increased by £96'. During tho last month, too, 43,394 units were sold in excess of the number charged for in September of last year. The revenue for the six months of tho financial year ended 30th September shows an increase of £530 over the corresponding period of last, year, but. hero tho working expenses are diown to have more than > accounted for that increase. (£13,589); capital charges, £9212 (£8837); credit balance, £14,205 (£14,619) ; units sold, 1,999,8945 (1,756,522); new connections, 779 (672): total connections at 30th September, 1914, 9758 (8532).
