WESLEY CHURCH SUNDAY SCHOOL

• The seventy-third anniversary of the Taranaki-street Suftday School was celebrated on Sunday under very favourable conditions. The services throughout the day were Well attended, the evening service being crowded. Two special features of the services were the singing of the “Invocation” (“The Lord is in His Holy Temple”), and the chanting of the Lord’s Prayer, by the Usual large choir of scholars. During the evening service . the rendering of “All Hail the Power of Jesu’s Name,” to the tune of "Diadem,”, was very impressive. The services were conducted in the morning by the Rev. A. E. Hunt, of the Congregational Church; afternoon by Rev. G. Knowles Smith, Central Mission; and evening by Rev. J. G. Chapman.
