STAR CLUB. . The annual meeting of the Star Cricket Club was held at Kilbirnie., Favourable comment was made in the annual report on the promising showing of the club’s team in winning the outside' association’s junior competition last season. The club decided to enter two teams in this season’s fixtures. Officers as follow were elected for the present season : —President, Mr. J. Mann; vicepresidents, Dr. Newman, M.P., Messrs. F. Flip, N. Mercer, J. J. Boyd, jun., H. J. Simpson, A. Rigg, F. M'Parland, W. Nidd, J. J. Firth, H. Toomer, H. Slater, A. ,J. Wallace, J. Manning, F. Lamberg, C . Mullis, J. Tobin, A. George, J.. Clarke, W. Clark, J. Dillon, A. Law, J. Zachariah ; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. W. Lang; club captain, Mr. P. Gray..
