PRIVATE HOTEL DESTROYED
(BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) DUNEDIN, 12th October. The Ravensbourne Private Hotel, about three miles from Dunedin, was gutted by fire to-night. It contained twenty-six rooms, and was licensed until six years ago, when a reduction vote caused the license to be removed. It was owned and occupied by J. M’Gluskie. Practically nothing was 'saved. The building was insured in the South British Office for £5OO, and the furniture in the New Zealand Office for £4OO.
When you see the Fire Brigade rushing along the . street, think of the British Dominions General Insurance Company, Panama-street. They cover all losses by fire.—-Ad vt.
