BRITAIN'S RESPONSE TO THE CALL (Received October 8, 9 a.m.) NEW YORK, 6th October. The- Sun, in an article headed "The Regeneration of England," says: ("The eagerness with which peer and commoner, capitalist and labourer, squire and peasant, responded to the country's call proved a perfect revelation to the Germans, who scoffed at any serious military resistance from Great Britain. From south^ east, and West the men of the Empire are thronging to deliver the world of military terrorism."
