The annual meeting of the Kilbitnie Cricket Club was held in St. Thomas's Schoolroom, Riddiford-street, last night. Mr. W. Ru66ell presided. The annual report and balattce«sh'eefc were adopted. Phillips, and Lindsay } delegates to Wellington Association, Messrs. H. Smith and C. Russell. Several new members were elected. KAROKI CLUB. The annual report to be presented at the Karori Cricket Club's meeting on Monday evening states that .he club secured a good position in the third-claa« championship last season, having aggregated 18 points for 13 matches played. The best battiug average was obtained by C. Coate (16.1), W. Reed— who is now with the Expeditionary Force at Sajnoa— being a. close second, with 15.9. With the ball honours rested with F. Tarr, probably the fastest bowler in third'Ciass cricket, who captured 51 , wickets for the Bmall cost of 5.9 runs each. A. Edwards was second, with 46 wickets at an Average of 7.1 each. During the season the <onb sent a team to Blenheim to meet the Blenheim Wed' nesday Association's representatives* Karori had an enjoyable trip and won by 171 runs, but Blenheim, in a return visit, retrieved their laurels by an e&sy« defeat of the suburban team on Easter Monday. The club's report thanks the following gentlemen for donations :— Messrs. \V. H. D. Bell, M.P:, W. Shearer, R. E. Hayes, and R. J. Tarr. The balance-sheet shows a small credit balance, and the club looks forward to a good season, with a hope that mora new members may be elected on Monday night.
