GERMAN FIRMS
DEBTS OWING TO ENGLISH CREDITORS. A SUGGESTION. (Received September 30, 2.5 p.m.) LONDON, 29th September. The Evening News states that an estimate of German firms 1 debts to English firms is £60,000,000. It suggests that the Bank, under a Government guarantee, should advance, money on account until the end of the war, when the German Government should be made responsible for the collection and repayment of the debts.
