BRITISH CARGO IN GERMAN PORTS
SOLO BY ORDER OF THE GO* VERNMENT. REPRISALS AFOOT, (Received September 26, 10 a.m.) LONDON, 25th September. British cargo in German ports at the outbreak of the war has now been sold by order of the German Government. Reprisals are therefore afoot in England. Hitherto a distinction lias been fhade in regard to such cargo captured. It is proposed to establish a clearing-house to receive the money for German cargo sold, and make payments to the merchants whose cargoes have been sold in Germany.
