I „ MEETING OF THE BOARD. The Wellington Technical Education Board met last evening, there being present Messrs. D. -.Robertson (chairman), the Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke), the Hon. .J. G . W. Aitken, and Messrs. 6. Frost, ! T. C. A. lijslop, J. E. Fitzgerald, W. H. Field, afid. W. Allan. The financial statement showed a debit balance of £385-ls sd, as compared with a debit of £54 7s lOd at the corresponding time • last year. Accounts amounting to £840 4s 9d (including salaries) were passed for payment. The receipts for the month amounted to £188 7s sd, while the expediture during the same period was £840 4s 9d. A letter was received from the Wellington Master Plumbers' Industrial Union, suggesting certain improvements to the plumbing classrooms. Speaking on this matter, Mr. La Trobe (the Princi-' pal) said he thought that many of the master plumbers might be willing to loan various fittings. He also suggested that the classes be extended from 9 p.m. until 9J30 p.m.— lt was decided to erect a platform in the plumbing room for sinks aaid baths, at an estimated cost of £6 10s, and also to adopt the Principal's suggestion as, to the extension of the time of the classes.
