LAWN TENNIS
JOHNSONVILLE CLUB. The annual meeting of the Johnsonville Tennis Club was held this week, Mr. A. Moore presiding. There was a good attendance of members. Among the officers elected for the ensuing year were: The Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke), patron (re-elected); Mr. F. T. Moore, president (re-elected) ; and Mr. W. Mills, secretary and treasurer. The resignation of the secretary (Mr. F. Bethune) was accepted with regret. He had held this position since the foundation of the club, some twelve or thirteen years ago, and it was unanimously ! resolved to elect him a life member, as a mark of esteem for his past services. The report and balance-sheet showed that the club was in a satisfactory posi- j tion. I
