HUNGARIAN REGIMENT DECIMATED. PETROGRAD, 22nd September. The Russians have occupied Jaroolav, a town on the main railway from Cracow to Lemberg, and on the left bank of the San. It is" announced that the 50th Hungarian Regiment was completely decimated. PURSUIT OF AUSTRIANS A FRESH DEFEAT. ROME, 22nd September. A telegramfrom Petrograd states that in tho pursuit of the broken Austrian Army a fresh defeat has been inflicted. Their retreat convinces the Russian headquarters staff that Austria will be unable to resume the offensive in Galicia until next spring.
