The Times, in a leader on the battle «f the Aisne, says: "All along the KnG the signs are hopeful. At all points there are indications of advantages gained." (Press Association.) ABUSE OF THE WHITE FLAG (Received September 24, 8.30 a.m.) LONDON, 23rd September. An Irish .Guardsman who was wounded reports that the Germans at the battle of the Aiene hoisted the white flag. The British, advancing to secure prisoners, were subjected to a terrible fire from concealed batteries, none being able to walk across the field. i
