< ■♦ LADIES' GAME. Only one ladies' game will be played [ to-morrow, this being between the Wellington representative team and Kiwi. The match will take .place at Karon Park, No. 1, at 3 p.m. Wellington will be represented by the following : Misses O. Roadley, M. Neumann, D. Tinney, H. Laurenson, C. Terry, N. Brown, M. A boys' trial 'game will be played tomorrow at Karori, after which the team to visit 'Carterton will be selected. Following are the teams ;~-O'Loughlin (goal) ; Henderson Mid Porter (fullbacks) j Burt, Andrews, and Littlejohn (halves) ; Cooper, Sisson, Watchman, Lowery, and Cross (forwards). B Team— Moore (goal); Manly and* Athya (full-backs) ; Adams, O'Niel, and Woolcott (halves) ; Hc-ath, Jeromson, Parsloe, Dryden, and Gunn. ENGLISH LADIES' TEAM IN . OTAGO. (BT TELEORAPH.— PKBSS ASSOCIATION.) DUNEDIN, 17th September. The EnghMi ladies' hockey team arrived from Invercargill this afternoon and was met by representatives of the Otago Ladie6' Association and hostesses. The members of the team are to be quietly entertained. They will be motored to Henley to-niolTow, and will bo shown the Waironga Springs and Outram Glen. They meet Otago tomorrow, and on Sunday will be taken by motor-boat down the Otago Harbour to Broad Bay. On Monday they will go to the Queenstown Lakes, returning on Wednesday. They play North Otago at Oamaru on Friday.

At its meeting last evening the City Council appointed Mr. Albert Brewer to the position of groundsman at the Basin Reserve. Mr. Brewer is at present in the employ of the council at Wakefield Park. A request by the Lyall Ba,y and Maranui Municipal Electors' Association that the present tramway stop at the corner of Onepu-road and Lyall Bay Parade be done away with, And a stop made at the drain right-of-way. Onepuroad, has been refused by the City Council, which, however, has decided to established a stop at Tainui-tevrace.
