PEOPLE'S PICTURE PALACE.
A big crowd of people saw the first instalment of "Lucille Love" at the People's Picture Palace, and they are probably waiting eagerly for the second instalment to be shown next week and for the thirteen parts to follow at weekly intervals. The young lady who takes the name part is a fascinating artist, well known to picture-lovers, a.nd the film, running to 30,000 ft in length, is full of (sensations and interesting in the extreme. The story, as depicted in the first part, opens well, and patrons -will readily grasp the possibilities. These, it is said, have- been made the most of. "Officer Jim," the Btar picture in the current programme, tells of a city policeman and his wife. The wife gets into bad company and develops gambling propensities. She is arrested at a raid, and subsequently the husband 6ecures a divorce. It 'takes some 3600 ft of film to describe how the happy reunion takes place. The supporting programme is particularly strong, and includes the very latest productions, which are- all exclusive to the "P.P.JV
