CONCERT AT KILBIRNIE

The concert which was held in Kilbirnie Hall last evening in aid of the Kilbirnie Tennis Club proved a success, the hall being comfortably filled. The performers, without any exception, were in good trim, and received an ovation as they came forward to take their turn. Selection* on the piano by Herr Sauef and Mrs. and Miss Easson received particular applause. Mrs. Mentiplay and Messrs. Wood and Connell sang their songs in a very pleasing manner, whilst Mrs. Holmes and Mr. Clements (duet) received much applause. Messrs. Stedman, Houston, and Wallace, in their comedy work, did extremely well and were called, back several times. Herr Saver (violin) was in excellent form. Miss Boutell, who sang and' recited, was a favourite. Mr. Manthel played selections on the cornet and Mr. Redshaw on the clarinet. Mrs. and Miss Easson were accompanists. The management is indebted to little Miss Easson, who accompanied several of the singers,
