ASPECTS OF THE WAR
What promise to be very interesting lccturettes are to be delivered to-morrow night in the Concert Chambor, at 8 o'clock, Hi 6 Excellency the Governor presiding. Three short addresses will bo given on subject© suggested by the_ war, and appropriate patriotic songs will be given by popular vocalists between the epeoches! Mr. F. P. Wilson, M. A., Lecturer in Economics at Victoria College, in He lecture on the "Economic Aspect of tho War," will discuss tho effect of lengthy preparations for war by nations, the onormous expenditure caused -by the collision of the Powers, and the work of reviving paralysed industry on the relurnof peaco. Mr. H. ll ; Cornish, M.A., will discuss Pan-Germanism, a movement that aims at nothing 1e66 ,than German mastery of the world. The work of medical corps on the field of battle, and their efforts to alleviate the agonies of modern warfare, will be described by Surgeon-Captain Shand, M.8., M.R.C.S.
