HIGHLAND SOCIETY'S CONCERT

The Highland Society of Wellington will give a concert to-night in the Town Hall, under the patronage of Their Excellencies the Earl and Countess of Liverpoo], in aid of the Mayor's Patriotic Fund. The Hon. J. G. W. Aitken will preside. The programme will includo many Caledonian items, bagpipe selections bs' the Wellington Pipe Band, international reel by a quartet of ladies ; songs by Messrs. Jago, F. L. Pope, S. Allright, C. J. Houston, J. M'Lean, A. G. Hay. S. L. Exton, Mrs. Kenfiedy, Miss Eileen Driscoll, and others; dances by various performers ; violin solos by Misß Freda Walters and Mr. Eric fliers, and various other entertaining items. It is expected that the Frim4 Minister and Cabinet Ministers and the Mayor will be present. Mr. T. A. Macponald will be piper, and tho pianists are Mrs. D. MacMillan and Miss Hanify. The box plan is at tho Dresdeh and no extra charge wili be made for reserved seats. Tickets may be obtained at the society's oflicc, 31, Panama-street*
