PATRIOTIC FUND LECTURE

A generous offer has been made to the .Mayor by Mr. O. R. Bostock, of Fernhill, Hawkes Bay, the well-known honey producer, to give a lecture in the Concert Hal] to-night on the subject of the wonders of the honey bee .and the modern beekeeping industry, in aid of the Patriotic Fund. The offer has been accepted, and amateur beekeepers and those interested in the work of the bee would do well to attend at the Concert Hall to-night. A series of over 150 lantern slides will be shown, and these illustrate the construction of the bees' bodies and how their work is accomplished. The whole proceeds will be handed to the Mayor's Patriotic Fund.
