KINDNESS APPRECIATED.
"The Somes Island Guard" writes :—: — "We, the Territorials on guard over the prisoners of war on Somes Island, would like to use a little of your space to express our gratitude to those who have so tangibly shown their thought of us. We, have received several parcels of cakes, books, papers, etc., from some of the citizens of Wellington, and we wish to assure those who have sent them of our hearty appreciation. They have helped to render the leisure hours of our somewhat confined life here more enjoyable. Thanking you, Sir, for your courtesy in finding space for this letter, and again thanking those who have so kindly remembered us."
