Having received a, message from the eclitbi' of the Daily Chronicle, asking for the feeling iv New Zealand in legard to the present cri&is, Mr. Massey replied as follows : — "New Zealand today, in common j with other Dominions and 'Dependencies, stands true to the best traditions of Empire, and will loyally shoulder in this hour of. national cri&ics her sharo of Imperial iespoii3ibility. The Dominion to a man hus one motto —For King, Country, and Empire. -MASSEY, "Prime Minister." The editor of the well-known Montreal journal, The Star, cabled to Mr. Massey. asking him for a message to ,tlie people of Canada on the common obligations of the Dominions in the light of the de-, claration of war. Mr. Masuey's reply wnq as follows :— ; "The interests of the Dominions of tlio Empire are one and inseparable. We have put our hand to the plough, and there will be no looking back in this hour of 'national crisis.
