BY A GERMAN CRUISER. BRITISH STEAMER DETAINED. (Received August 6, 8.30 a.m.) TIENTSIN, 4th August. A German cruiser is pursuing the Norwegian steamer Tungus, which is conveying foodstuffs to Vladivostok. Germans detained the British steamer Ningpo at Thingtoo, Kiaochau. [The Tungus is owned by a Norwegian shipping company, and is a steamer of 1753 tons. The Ningpo is a steamer of j.t)Bs tons, owned by the China Navigation Company.]
