[In the House of Lords on 30th April, the Bishop of London moved tho second reading of r the Criminal Law Amendment Bill, which proposed to raise the age of consent from sixteen to eighteen, and! otherwise to increase protection for girls. Dr. Ingram declared that many girls bp* tween the ages of sixteen and eighteen! were on the London streets.
