NEW ZEALAND WOOL
EXHIBIT AT SAN FRANCISCO EXPOSITION. So that a comprehensive exhibit of/ New Zealand "wools may be displayed at the PananiiV-Pacific Exposition at San Francisco next year, the various district wool-brokers' associations have undertaken to select the necessary specimens. Mr. M. O'Brien, secretary of the New Zealand Executive Committee, states that the president of the New Zealand { Wool-Brokers' Association, Mr. W. S. Bennett, on being approached, was most enthusiastic, and pointed out that the various district wool-brokers' associations wero in close touch wi^h growers and knew which clips were best suited for the purpose required. A supply of circulars was therefore handed to Mr. Bennett, and he has arranged for their distribution to the principal woolgrowers. Entries will be collected by the secretaries of the various woolbrokers' associations and forwarded to him when' completed. If any grower has been overlooked Mr. O'Brien will be glad to forward 3iim a circular setting out the conditions. Now that wool enters the United States free of duty, it will be readily understood what an opportunity is available to the New Zealand wool-grower of making his product better known to the American consumer by means of the great Exposition. Transport by rail and Union S.S. Company's steamers is free, as also is space at the Exposition. Owners may have to meet some small charge for staging, and. at the close of the Exposition the Government will sell ,all exhibits to best advantage, or dispose of them in any other I wa.y that may be desired. The sale of the wool will provide an excellent oppoi--tunity for growers to ascertain at no cost to themselves exactly what varieties and classes of wool are best suited sto the American markets. "A GOOD NAME." The quantity of " WHITE HORSE " is limited, and Mackie and Co. only supply approved firms, so jealous are they of their reputation. The public should, therefore, be careful to ask for " WHITE HORSE" and see that they get it.— Advfc.
