The weather was fine but dull for'the Rugby Union match between the All, Blacks and Queensland on Saturday. There were 5000 spectators present. The New Zealand team was:—Back, Crockroft; three-quarters; Lynch, R. Roberts, and Taylor ; five-eighths, Mackenzie, Ryan; half, E. Roberts; forwards, Francis, Cain, Irvine,' Wilson, Downing, Graham, M'Neece, and Murray. Queensland kicked off against.* light breeze and after the game had been in progress for a while ISew Zealand assumed command, and had Queensland in difficulties. E. Roberts secured the ball from a scrum and passed to M'Kenzie, M'Kenzie passing to Ryan, Ryan to Roberts, and Roberts to Lynch* who sent it back to R. Roberts, who scored in the corner. Graham failed to convert. A period of fast, exciting play followed. The Queeaslanders made desperate efforts to score, _ but the defence was solid. A brilliant passing rush among the New Zealand backs ended by Lynch scoring in the corner. Graham converted. The New Zealanders kept up the pressure, but met a solid front, Cockroft landed a field goal Irom the Queensland twenty-five. After a . desperate struggle, Williams scored for Queensland just before 'half-time. Flynn converted. The half-time scores were«': New Zealand w, „; 12 Queensland ... ... 5

On resuming, New Zealand attacked strongly, but failed to pierce the, defence. Queensland for a while showed to great advantage.
