NEW ZEALAND RUGBY UNION MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. The weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union was held last night. Mr. N. Ualbraith occupied the chair, and there were also present : Messrs. E. Wylie, R. M. Isaacs, I. Hyams, W. Perry, J. Laughton, A. Laurenson, and G. H. Dkon. In response to a request from the Marlborough Rugby Union it was decided>to rounove tho name of J. M'Donald from tlic list of disqualified players. It) had beeti alleged that M'Donald had taken part in a» " banner " final in a League game. The letter stated that this had been found to be incorrect, however, and a sworn statement was attached in which M'Donald stated that he had never taken part in the game in question. A request from Hubert Dierck (Little River), who had played League football in Queensland, for reinstatement under the Union code, was refused. A similar application from W. Rowlands (Nelson) was deferred for further enquiry. Mr. W. J. Meredith was appointed to referee in the Wangauui-Taranaki Raniurly Shield match to-morrow. MjL BLACKS' TOUR. The Wanganui Ilugby Union, wrote drawing attention to the fact that it considered that the North Island tors had not carried out their duties to the best advantage, having selected a team from three provinces, instead •of from tho whole of the North Island, thus ignoring the claims of a number of qualified playere. The Wanganui Union strongly resented selectors occupying office if they were not prepared to make themselves acquainted with ( tho various players throughout the" Island. If they Wete not prepared to do this, it was simply an insult for them to' a»k local selectors to nominate players for their consideration. It nyas a regrettable coincidence that the players selected all came from the unions in which the three selectors resided. — It was resolved to reply to the Wangajiui Union to the effect that tho New Zealand Union could not interfere with the selectors in their appointment, and also that the last paragraph of the letter was incorrect. ;
