Renovation of the apartments at Hampton Court where Cardinal Wols&y lodged revealed an oak panelling which had been obscured by paper and canvas, also two ancient moulded doorways, with the original iron hooks for hanging massive stone doors, fine stone fireplaces, and beautiful ornamental ceilings, all excellently preserved.
