REVIVAL MISSION
Tbe Brainsby Revival Mission was continued in the Vivian-street Baptist Church last night. The hearty singing of a large choir did much to prepare those present for the service that followed. Many requests for prayer having been read and responded to, Mrs. Brainsby feelingly sang "Just Simply Trust." Mr. Brainsby s message was based on the words of Genesis, xxiv. -49, "And now if ye will deal kindly and truly with my master, tell me." Men, be said, do not deal truly with Jesus Christ when they evade his claims on tho ground of unbelief. If men desire to know the truth they would leave no stone unturned to find Him. People who make a boast of difficulties make no effort to solve them. They cannot believe in JesUs Christ, say they, and yet they have not read one of tho Gospels through. They keep away from evidence that might convince them. Shall wo go to Ingersoll or Blatchford to know Christ ? Secondly : Wo do not deal truly with Him when seeking to escape our responsibility on the ground of the inconsistency of Christians. The preacher, whilst confessing to the failures of many Christians, bore testimony to the lives of noble sacrifice of those who denied themselves much out of love to Jesus Christ and His cause. Thirdly : Mr. Brainsby said, "We are not dealing truly with Jesus Christ when we aro putting off the day of decision. If Ho Was worthy of anything, was He not worthy of diu 1 best years?" The missioned pleaded earnestly with v his hearers to deal truly with his Master, who receiveth sinners and went tho way of the Cross to redeem them. The service to-mowow v night will be held in the new Giiuid Opera House at 7 o'clock.
