AUCTION AND PROPERTY SALES

Messrs. J. H. Bethune ,and Co. -will sell under instructions from the trustees in the estate of the late J. K. Logan, at his residence, No. 29, Hobson Crescent, on Thursday next, at 1 p.m., household furniture and appointments The furniture will be on view on Wednesday afternoon. On Thursday, 4th June next, at 2.30 p.m., at the Chamber of Commerce, under instructions from the Registrar of tho Supreme Court, they are submitting a residential property in Wil-liam-street, Kilbirnie. The firm insert an amended^ list of business and residential properties, which they have on their books for private sale, also a number of houses to leb, both furnished and unfurnished, offices, and storeroom accommodation. Messrs. Harcourt and Co. will hold an auction sale at their rooms, 195, Lambton-quay, on Tuesday, 16th June, at 2.30 p.m., when the freehold property situated in the Grafton-road, Roseneath, containing an area of thirteen perches, together with the dwellinghotise of four rooms, will be offered for sale. The firm also insert a list of properties they have received instructions to sell by private treaty, or to let (furnished or unfurnished), together with offices, shops, and warehouse accommodation in the city and suburbs. Messrs. E. Johnston and Co. insert particulars in our auction columns of a sale of £5000 worth of antique and modern silverware, jewellery, oil paintings, .and art treasures, at their rooms, 157, Lambton-quay, on Monday, commencing at 1.30 o'clock. There will be a special, gaslight display from 7.30 till 9 o'clock this^evening. On Wednesday they will hold a sale of household furniture in their rooms, commencing at 1 o'clock. On Thursday they will hold a sale of household furniture, on the premises, Palliser-road, Roseneath (overlooking Oriental Bay), commencing at 2 o'clock. A chance is offered to buyers of nursery stock on Wednesday next, at 1 p.m., at tho Fruit Exchange, when Thompson Bros., Ltd., will sell, unreservedly, a collection of trees, plants, and shrubs. The stock was grown by Mr. A. M'Millan, of Blackbridge, Hutt. Messrs. A. L. Wilson and Co. will hold a_ sale of properties, comprising eight city and suburban places, at their rooms, 26, Brandon-street, on Wednesday, at 12 noon. The properties are situated at Petone, Karaka Bay, and Miramar. At 1.30 the firm will offer household furniture, and at 2.30 a sale of pictures (water and oil colours) ; also three pianos and a three-quarter size Wright, Banish billiard table will be sold. Messrs. George Thomas and Co. advertise another catalogue of trees, plants, and shrubs, including a special lino of 300 standard and climbing roses, on behalf of Mr. W. B. Hardy, of the Lower Hutt, to be sold at the Fruit Exchange, Allen-street, on Wednesday, at 1 p.m. Mr. Hardy will be in attendance to give free 'any necessary advice regarding planting, etc. Mr. S. George Nathan will sell by auction, at the Chamber of Commerce, Customhouse-quay, on. Tuesday, 9th June, at 2.30 p.m., three properties, one being a five-roomed cottage in Reubenavenue, Brooklyn ; also Wo and a-half acres in Humber and Brightwell streets, Island Bay, with nine and seven-room-ed residences thereon; and a dairy farm of 361 acres 3 roods 3 perches at Mangaroa, three and a-haH miles from Upper Hut 6. At 1.30 on Tuesday, Messrs. C. W. Price and Co. will sell at the mart, 60, Lambton-quay, the contents of six rooms and four rooms; and on Wednesday, starting at 11 a.m., will sell on the premises, 138, Hanson-street, the furniture and effects, and 50 lots carpenters' and garden tools. Messrs. Griffiths and Co., Ltd., advertise particulars of a clearing sale of live stock and farm implements at the Lower Hutt for next Wednesday.
