PEOPOSAL FOR AFFILIATION". (BY TBLEORAPH— I'RESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, This Day. ( A scheme^ to bring about thr affiliation .of various trading associations in Auckland was brought under the notice of the Farmers' Trading Association by the Auckland representative of the New Zealand Public Service Cash Purchase Association, who foreshadowed the enrolment of a great body of affiliated as« sopiations reaching over the- whole Dominion, and eventually linking up with the great co-operative associations in the Old Country. In the course of a discussion, reference was made to the action being taken by the Waterside Workers' Union and Seamen's Union to arrange for co-operative purchasing. One speaker expressed the opinion that in a short time every trades union in Auckland would be taking similar action. The meeting confirmed the principle of affiliation, and referred the Public Service Association proposals to the directors to report to a special meeting to deal finally therewith.
