STUDENTS' CARNIVAL

♦ On Friday the students of Victoria University College will hold their usual prosession through the streets of tho city in connection with their carnival festivities. it is understood that tho students have taken considerable pains to make this year a_ procession more attractive . than those in tho past. The usual mock speeches will take place in Post' Office Square. In 'he evening a two-act play, "Boadicea," specially written for tho occasion, will be staged in tho Town Hall. Though the subject is based on the serious doings in tho days of Julius Caesar, the opportunity las been taken to introduce a new Maud Allan and the Cherniupski Trio, as well is the Salamanca Male Quartette. Special scenery has been painted for the produc- I tion, and tho principals will bo assisted by a choir of 75 voices and an orchestra of 20 instruments. The plau is at the Dresaen.
