Another tragedy is reported, this time from the suburb of Alexandria, where Charles Webber, a ship's painter, shot his sweetheart, Lottie Heatley, a domestic servant, and then himself. Webber is dead., Miss Heatley walked a mile and a-half to her mother's house with three bullet wounds in her head. She was sent to the hospital in a serious condition. AN APPARENTLY DEVOTED COUPLE. CAUSE OF CRIME A MYSTERY. (Received May 18, 9.45 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Heatley's employer, Mr. Deau, was not aware of the tragedy till the police arrived, and found Webber's body in Heatley's room. The couple were apparently devoted to each other. The cause of the crime is a mystery.
