(Received May 18, 9.45 a.m.) LONDON, 17th May. The Limerick County Council has unanimously passed a resolution supporting the Nationalist volunteer movement. Mr. Lundon, M.P., in supporting the resolution, said that when the Home Rule Bill was on the Statute-Book two hundred thousand volunteeis would parade in Dublin to prevent the withdrawal of the dearly-won measure. AMMUNITION AND PIFLES. FOR THE NATIONALISTS, (Received May 18, 9.10 a.m.) LONDON, 17th May. Despite the Customs officers' vigilance, large consignments of rifles and ammunition have been landed at various parts of the West Coast of Ireland for the Nationalist volunteers. THE DEADLOCK. KING GIVES AUDIENCE TO MR. LLOYD GEORGE. LO*NDON, 16th May. In connection with the amending Home Rule Bill deadlock, the King granted an audience lasting nearly an hour to Mr. Lloyd George (Chancellor of the Exchequer), who is the principal mouthpiece between Cabinet and the Nationalists. ULSTER FARMERS STARTLED. ANXIOUS ENQUIRIES. LONDON, 16th May. The Daily Chronicle states that numbers of Down and Antrim farmers were not averse to their sons joining Sir Edward Carson's volunteers with the object of drilling, but were startled on learning that rifles and ammunition were aboutN** be individually distributed. The proposed recipients are anxiously enquiring as to the legality of receiving arms.
