LADIES' GAMES ABANDONED
The kdiefc made a valiant effort to carry on their championship matches, but the weather defeated them by a good margin. In misty rain a number of girls aseembled on th© field and indulged, in preliminaries. After a time th© weather cleared considerably, and the referees' whistles announced the fact that games -were to begm. The enthusiasts formed up ready for th© fray, but a few minutes later they were forced to beat a hasty retreat from a drenching downpour. Th© games set down were thus postponed until next Saturday.
