BASKETBALL
Much interest is being manifested in the re-introduction of the game of basketball into Wellington, and a, well-attended meeting was held at the V.M.C.A. last evening for the purpose of forming a committee of control. The committee elected was as follows: — Messrs. A. C. Kitto, D. C. Sclaler, W. L. Wilson, R. Coad, C. Nicholls, T. Daubney, and the physical director. The season will commences on Wednesday ne<t with a match in the V.M.C.A. Cymnasium between two 'Xeprseentati£« teams of the lasosiatioa.
