The efforts to restore animation in thfe case of William Teviotdaie yesterday afternoon were unsuccessful. An inques-t was held this morning, when the Coroner returned a verdict that deceased was drowned while attempting to save tho boy Morgan's life,' Deceased was a married man, 40 years of age. and was in charge of the New Zealand Shipping Company's stores. The Coroner commended .the action of the young man Guy. Edwards, who went to the rescue of Teviotdaie and Morgan, and. said he would bring his action under , the 1 notice of the Royal Humane Society.
