A new Zeppelin airship, rieing at Frederichshafen, crossed the Alps south of Lake Constance. People on the ship exchanged greetings with the observatory there. NINE PASSENGERS ON A BIPLANE. (Received April 2, 8.30 a-m.) PARIS, Ist April. Aviator Gariax, carrying nine passengers in a biplane at Chartres, rose to t an altitude of 5280 ft. AVIATOR KILLED. (Received April 2, 11 a.m.) PARIS. Ist Ap/il. M. Emile Vedrines, younger brother of M. Jules Vedrines, the well-known aviator, waa killed while teeting a monoplane at Champagne. DOUBLE TRAGEDY. (Received April 2, 11 a.m.) PARIS, Ist April. Pierre Testulat and a passenger, while testing an aeroplane at the Champagne Aerodrome, struck a pylon half an hoar after Vedrines was killed, and both were killed.
