DIVISION TO BE TAKEN NEXT MONDAY. PROSPECTS OF BY CONSENT.
LONDON, Ist April. The Home Rule division has been arranged for Monday night. _ Sir Edward Grey's allusion to a Federal solution is regarded in the lobbies as an indication of improved prospects of settlement by consent. Unionist papers note the changed temperature indicated by the speech^ A meeting of fifty Unionists in the House of Commons favoured a settlement on Federal line*. It is • understood that an amendment on the subject will be tabled. (Received April 2, 11' a.m.) LONDON, Ist April. The Pall Mall Gazette states that a belief in the possibility of a settlement is to be found chiefly in the Ministerial ranks. While many Unionists favour Federalism in principle, the majority are sceptical of its practicability. general feeling is that the fight should proceed on the old lines.
