The Willochra enjoyed an exceptionally fine run across the Tasman, the sens being smooth practically- all the way. When the Clan Matheson has completed discharge of her cargo of jarrah at Lyttelton, at which port she arrived to-day from Wellington, she will commence loading for the United Kingdom, From Lyttelton she goes to Timaru, and will probably make a call at Picton before coming on to Wellington to complete. MAKARINI ARRIVES HOME. By arriving at London on Tuesday last from Wellington, the Tyser liner Makarini has added another fast passage to her credit, having completed the voyage in forty days. The vessel sailed from this port on the 10th February. MIMIRO COMING FROM LIVERPOOL. Bound for Wellington, via Auckland, the steamer Mimifo sailed from Liverpool on Monday last. Cabled adviyj from London states that the Tyser line's steamer lndrabarah sailed from there on Monday last, for Wellington, via Australian ports, Auckland, and Napier. She should make an appearance here about the Bth June. NEW ORIENT LINER ORMONDE. News has come to hand that it has been decided to name the new 15,000-ton Orient liner "Ormonde,",, and not "Orient" or "Odatna" as was at iirst expected. The vessel Is now under construction ut Clydebank, and she "ill be ready towards the end'of next year. Herdimensions will be ;— Length, 000 ft; breadth, 66ft j depth, 44ft. She will lfave a cruiser etern. HOLLINGTON'S LATEST CHARTER. Among the -latest' charters announced is the steamer Hollington, now on her way from St. John to Wellington, via ports, under the auspices of the New Zealand Shipping Company. When she has completed discharge she is to proceed to Paagoumene to load ore for the United States. Repairs to the boiler tubes on the Clan Macdonald were completed yesterday, and the vessel was moved from Clyde-quay ' Wharf to the King's Wharf to complete loading. She will sail on Sunday next for Dunkirk, Blumenthal, and London, via Suez, taking a full cargo of wool. The Union collier Kaitangatn left Newcastle yesterday laden with coal for discharge at New Plymouth, Picton, and Wellington. The vessel will call at the various ports in the order mentioned. The Corinna is to leave New Plymouth on Saturday next for Wellington, and after discharging her dairy produce will sail on Monday next for Duncdiu direct. She will sail from Dunedin next Wednesday for Wellington, via Oarnaru, Timaru, and Lyttelton, leaving here the following Tuesday for Nelson and New Plymouth, thence going to Pictou to load for Onehunga. i Every effoTt is being made to despatch the Star of Scotland to Brisbane to-morrow afternoon. Owing to the alleged unsatisfactory arrangements made by the Railway Department to bring In meat from Petone, her exact sailing time is uncertain. The Star of Victoria will arrive in Wellington at daylight on Saturday morning, and will berth at the King's Wharf. Homeward louding operations will be commenced immediately.
