MAGISTRATE'S COURT

To-day's sitting of the Magistrate's Court was presided over by Mr. D. G. A. Cooper, S.M. For drunkenness, Rose Fraser Avas fined £1, with .the alternative of seven days' imprisonment, and also made the subject of ajn'ohibition order. Frank Adair and William Barker, [similarly charged, were each fined 10s, with the alternative of 48 hours' imprisonment Bernard Steen, a trimmer, pleaded not guilty to the theft of a bicycle valued at £4, the property of John Burgess. Accused was remanded till Monday, bail being allowed in the sum of £10.
