CRICKET MATCH
A crickot match was played at- Anderson Park yesterday betwopn teams representing the wholesale and retail chemists. Wholesale opr-nod the batting, and the first few men put on a good score against the bowling of Tlemus and Walker. Shechan made a number of boundary hits. M'Kenzie's bowling was olfoclive. The innings closed for 96 runs. Against the retailers Goode's bowling war a feature of the play. He performed the "hat trick."' Retailers" inningb only totalled 35. Newson's wicket-keeping was excellent. Afternoon tea was piovided by the ladies of tho various wholosale house*. Special mention must bo made of the condition of the wicket and outfield. It reflects great on the caretaker, Mr.. Dd-wsoii,.
