Their Majesties the King and Queen will not leave the city even to proceed to Windsor, if there ift a likelihood of p6litics demanding their presence in London. The Daily Chronicle states that the King's action in the present crisis is thoroughly constitutional. He sought to restrain party passions in his role of an impartial umpire and grand conciliator. His Majesty's ono deeire is to see the achievement of an honourable and permanent settlement of the Irish question.
